In the area, Westmont College has provided shelter for hundreds of people. Unfortunately, the college developed a natural gas leak which compromised their generators.

After consulting with Red Cross and the fire department Westmont College was able, with clear conscience, to re-open their facility. At last report, 60 cots and 200 blankets were being brought to the gymnasium of Westmont College.

Following up the situation, the Associated Press has updated the losses to 100 homes and four people injured, including two firemen.

There are now over 500 firefighters battling the blaze. Thursday night, November 13, 2008, the area was battling wind gusts up to 70 mph. While the winds are somewhat less today, they are still a factor.

I was curious as to why it was being called a « Tea Fire. » No mention was made of that in any of the articles so I looked up the definition of « tea » and found five. The first step is to take your power drill, with the drill bit, and drill a small hole in the top lid of each Vintage Cigar Box.

Have this come straight out the bottom of the box. Now, on the bottom box in your stack you want the cigar
hole to go in through the top, but come out the back of the cigar box.

You want this hole to be right above the bottom edge of the Vintage Cigar Box.

This is where the electrical cord will be coming out of your Vintage Cigar Box lamp. If you have this cord coming out from underneath your box your lamp will not be stable or sturdy.
